How to see LinkedIn jobs posted in the last hour
LinkedIn's Date posted filter stops at "Past 24 hours". By then a good job can already have hundreds of applicants. There is a simple way to see only the jobs posted in the last hour, or even the last 15 minutes.
f_TPR=r86400 to f_TPR=r3600 and press Enter. The number is in seconds, so 3600 = 1 hour.
Step by step
-
Search for jobs on LinkedIn
Open linkedin.com/jobs in Chrome or Edge on your computer and search as usual, for example "data analyst" in your city.
-
Choose "Past 24 hours"
Open the Date posted filter and pick Past 24 hours. The page address now contains
f_TPR=r86400(86,400 seconds = 24 hours). -
Change the number in the address bar
Click the address bar, find
r86400and replace it withr3600. Press Enter.https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/?keywords=data%20analyst&f_TPR=r864003600&sortBy=DD -
Sort by "Most recent"
On the classic search page, set Sort by to Most recent (that is
sortBy=DDin the address), so the newest job is on top. -
Bookmark it
Save the page as a bookmark. Next time, one click shows the last hour's jobs. Reload it every so often to see new ones.
Values for other time windows
Use any number of seconds. These are the useful ones:
| Posted within | Put this in the address |
|---|---|
| 15 minutes | f_TPR=r900 |
| 30 minutes | f_TPR=r1800 |
| 1 hour | f_TPR=r3600 |
| 3 hours | f_TPR=r10800 |
| 6 hours | f_TPR=r21600 |
| 12 hours | f_TPR=r43200 |
| 24 hours (LinkedIn's own) | f_TPR=r86400 |
Very short windows like 15 minutes often show few or no jobs for narrow searches. Start with 1 hour and go shorter if there are plenty.
Good to know
- Older jobs can still slip in. LinkedIn sometimes mixes promoted and reposted jobs into the list. Check the "posted X ago" line before you apply, or see how to hide promoted and reposted jobs.
- The new AI-powered search works too. If your address starts with
/jobs/search-results/, the samef_TPRtrick works, but that page has no "Most recent" sort. - It doesn't refresh by itself. New jobs only appear when you reload the page, so you have to keep checking, or get an alert within minutes instead.
- Not in the mobile app. The app has no address bar. Use a browser.
Why the first hour matters
Recruiters usually read applications in the order they come in, and many stop once they have a good shortlist. A job that has been up for a day can have hundreds of applicants ahead of you. Applying in the first hour puts your profile near the top, before LinkedIn shows the job to everyone else.
Skip the address bar: use EarlyApply
EarlyApply is a free Chrome and Edge extension that does all of the above for you, right on the LinkedIn page.
- One-click buttons: 15m, 30m, 1h, 3h, 6h, 12h, newest first
- Hides promoted, reposted and old jobs that slip in
- Job Radar: a desktop alert the minute a new job is posted, so you don't have to keep reloading
Questions
Can I filter LinkedIn jobs by the last hour?
Not from the menu: LinkedIn's Date posted filter only offers Past 24 hours, Past week and Past month. But the search address has a setting called f_TPR. Set it to r3600 and you see jobs from the last hour (3,600 seconds).
What does f_TPR mean in a LinkedIn URL?
It is the Date posted filter. The value is the letter r followed by a number of seconds: r86400 is 24 hours, r3600 is 1 hour, r900 is 15 minutes.
Does this work in the LinkedIn app?
No. The app has no address bar to edit. Use LinkedIn in a browser on your computer, or open the edited link in your phone's browser.
Why do I still see older jobs?
LinkedIn sometimes mixes in promoted and reposted jobs that are older than your filter. Look at the "posted X ago" line on each job, or use a tool like EarlyApply that hides them for you.
